Geir Nævdal is a chief scientist at IRIS and an adjunct professor in applied and computational mathematics at Department of Mathematics/Centre for Integrated Petroleum Research, Univeristy of Bergen.
He holds a Dr. Ing. degree in Mathematics, from Norwegian Institue of Technology (1991). He worked as an Associate Professor at Stord/Haugesund College 1991-1997. He joined Rogaland Research in 1997, and has been a chief scientist at IRIS since 2004. From 2009 he is also holds a position as adjunct professor in applied and computational mathematics at University of Bergen. This position is associated with Centre for Integrated Petroleum Research.
