Development and validation of biologically based online/in-situ technology
Biologically based technology means the combination of a biological component and a physical-chemical detection component. Research at IRIS Biomiljø is focused at the new possibilities available with different biosensor technology, both which are commercially available at the moment or under development, for real-time monitoring of changes in the marine environment. We foresee this technology as an important supplement to existing biological environmental monitoring methodology and as a very efficient tool for monitoring of the marine environment in the future.
