Bioremediation

Our team has long experience with bioremediation projects foussing on contaminated beaches, sediments and drill cuttings.
The stimulation of microbial breakdown of contaminants in sediments has been studied in laboratory test systems that mimic marine ecosystems.
Artificial shoreline systems and simpler batch experiments have been applied in our temperature controlled facilities.

The objective of these projects has been to reveal bioremediation effects in crude oil or TBT contaminated sediments.
Different experimental approaches have required test conditions with sediments or sediment samples collected from harbour and offshore recipients. |
